Epson is following the trend with two new projectors: the EMP-400We and the EMP-400W.The EMP-400We features an ultra-short 1.8 feet throw distance — to put that into perspective, it is capable of projecting a “sharp focused 60-inch picture from a distance of just 65 cm (about 2 feet) from the projection surface.” It also features WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 1800 ANSI lumens, a 16:9 native aspect ratio, a 500:1 contrast ratio, and a password feature that theoretically renders the device useless if it is stolen.
The EMP-400W is basically the same device as the 400We —sans the security features. It is also priced at £999 or around $1962 —which will certainly be more affordable than the 400We and the super beefy ultra-short throw projectors seen at CES.

Optoma launched a small sized version of their HD70 called HD65. Being almost 15 percent smaller than the original version , a third lighter , five pounds in weight while keeping the same resolution this new projector is something worth having. It comes with a standard HDMI 1.3 port but unfortunately has the same price tag of $1000 like it’s bigger brother.

Samsung has a new 52 inch LCD, named LN-52F91BD. It features an LED backlight for a brighter picture experience , an USB port, 3 HDMI 1.3 ports and an Infolink function to keep you updated with news and stock info from MSN. Unfortunately it’s only available for Korea, for now, and it’s price is an astonishing $6800. You can see it in action below. My only question is, with that price tag is the girl included ?

Samsung has unveiled the new line of camcoders at KES2007. The product named VM-DX10 is a hybrid flash cam featuring 4GB of , um, flash memory, a 2.7 inch touch LCD panel, 26x digital zoom, 3D Noise Reduction Filter technology and a new feature called Hyper Image Stabilizer. Also included is a quick start function for all of those not into technology. This product will be available in black / white starting next month in Korea with a price tag of about $750.

Sony’s U series have been blessed with a brand new upgrade. It’s not much but it’s a start. Because it’s so small much of it have not changed ( like the screen which still is a 4.5 inch and 1024 x 600 resolution, the standard 1GB of memory, the Intel 945GMS Express chipset , WiFi and Bluetooth.) What did they change ? They replaced the CPU with an Intel Core 2 Solo U1400 at 1,2 GHz; the HDD to 40GB of storage and added a port extender. Unfortunately, this version will be available only in Japan , for now.

Lenovo’s 22-inch monitor is the first model produced that has a 1920 by 1200 resolution screen that is perfect for playing HD content. It supports auto-rotation of the screen from portrait to landscape mode . Unfortunately it does not have an HDMI port or component inputs, beside its standard VGA/DVI jacks.
