Hitachi released a slimmer version of their remote control. This one has only one big trackball in the middle and a back button. I must say that this one looks pretty nice and sleek but I have my doubts about its usability. Plus, being so small it might be too easy to misplace or loose even. It comes in different colors, most attractive being it’s leopard design.

Sony’s U series have been blessed with a brand new upgrade. It’s not much but it’s a start. Because it’s so small much of it have not changed ( like the screen which still is a 4.5 inch and 1024 x 600 resolution, the standard 1GB of memory, the Intel 945GMS Express chipset , WiFi and Bluetooth.)  What did they change ? They replaced the CPU with an Intel Core 2 Solo U1400 at 1,2 GHz; the HDD to 40GB of storage and added a port extender. Unfortunately, this version will be available only in Japan , for now.
